Future- going to

There are different ways to express future in English.

When the idea is to talk about a future plan we use the following structure:

Subject + verb to be + going to + action verb

Ex: She is going to travel this weekend.

To create a negative, we simply add the word NOT to the sentence.

Ex: She is not ( isn't) going to travel this weekend.

To make questions, we invert the order and move the verb to be to the beggining of the sentence

Ex: Is she gointo travel this weekend?

Now it is time to practice!

Hangman game online

Learning vocabulary is essential! The more words you know, the better you will be able to communicate. An interesting traditional game to practice new vocabulary is hangman. In this site http://www.hangman.learningtogether.net/ the words are grouped in topics (ex:family, colours, professions, etc). First select the topic you want to practice:

Then enter your name and click on the arrow:

Click in "new word" on the right side:

Now, you have to choose the letters. If you get it correct, the letter will appear. If you are wrong, you are going to be hanged! So be careful!

Irregular verbs game

Irregular verbs are normally a headache! "How am I going to remember all those verbs, teacher?", "Do I have to know them by heart?", "It's too difficult!"are some phrases English teachers hear all the time. To help practice the irregular verbs, Macmillan created a nice game in its site.

It is a wheel game. The wheel turns and stops in one verb. The player has to answer some questions about it, choosing the correct answer among some options.

A fun way to learn! :)
